The ifi-integrated-content container includes several value-added fields that are calculated by IFI to provide patent status, standardized names, and claims summaries. These fields are available for US, CA, DE, EP, ES, FR, GB, and JP, although standardized names are still in production for JP.

ifi-integrated-content/ifi-patent-status

We calculate the patent status for EP designated states, and we are changing how we do this. Prior to May 22, 2017 we followed method 1, and on May 22 we are reloading these records in order to follow method 2.

Attribute	Description
anticipated-expiration	Anticipated expiration date is calculated according to the patenting authority and document kind and reflects the maximum life of the patent assuming maintenance fees are paid and term extensions are not in place.
adjusted-expiration	Adjusted expiration date contains a date adjusted by term adjustments made by the USPTO under 35 USC 154. Present for US only.
regulatory-extension	"Yes" when true. The field appears in US records when exploitation of a patent is delayed by regulatory review (e.g., FDA review) or in other patents when a Supplementary Protection Certificate (SPC) has been issued for a patent.
terminal-disclaimer	"Yes" when a notice of terminal disclaimer is present. For US pre-2001, the adjusted-expiration date may incorporate a terminal disclaimer; post-2000, the adjusted date does not include the effect of a terminal disclaimer.

Current patent status is calculated by sequential analysis of the Inpadoc legal status events. It is recalculated whenever an Inpadoc update is received.
