The ifi-integrated-content
container (IFI Snapshot) includes several value-added fields that are calculated by IFI to provide a snapshot of a patent's status, expiry dates, standardized names, claims summaries, and more.

Access to the IFI Snapshot is available to all subscription levels with the exception of China, which is available to Premium Plus subscribers only. The following table illustrates the availability of the IFI Snapshot by country and subscription level:

container includes IFI's calculated legal status and expiry dates. We provide a simple view of the current estimated status of a patent or application as well as the expected expiration date.

. IFI’s Adjusted Expiration Date and Patent Status Indicator are useful estimates, but should not be considered authoritative or final results. An attorney or the relevant patent office should be consulted for an authoritative expiration and status determination.

Current patent status is calculated by sequential analysis of the Inpadoc INPADOC legal status events or events from our Chinese source in the case of China. It is recalculated whenever an update is received.

We map name variants and common misspellings under one easily searchable name so, for example, your search for "Microsoft" will also find documents assigned to "Mircrosoft" or "Mircosoft". IFI standardized names are available for original and current assignees. In addition, we provide probable assignees for US applications and grants with no assignee.
