doc-number

doc-number is generally provided in DOCDB-normalized format. An exception to this is made for WO documents, where the doc-number is normalized to YYYYnnnnnn. 
Patent document numbering is a complex subject, and these are some illustrative examples: US: 3732068, RE31783, 5382 (plant), D436240 (design), EP: 0129539, WO: 1985000002, JP: 60000013, 2006000022, DE: 3244404.

kind

The kind code is used to designate the publication stage of the document, including whether it is a published application or a granted patent. See ST.16.
